Nate Smith – California Yacht Broker

California yacht broker Nate Smith was born and raised just outside the chocolate capital of the world, Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Not so far away on the Susquehanna River, is where Nate first developed his appreciation for boating, spending summer weekends with friends and family on the water.  The family business was Real Estate sales and hard work; and Nate’s father, John, took the word “sold” to another level.

Nate learned and grew as a young salesman, watching as his father was honored by the Board of Realtors 16 years in a row as the region’s leader in sales volume and number of homes sold.  During that span Nate’s father was recognized by the National Association of Realtors as being one of the top 100 Realtors in the country out of 65,000 agents nationally and for consistent record breaking production, at one point individually selling 335 homes in a single calendar year.

Nate took the work ethic he learned from his father to the University of Miami where he graduated with honors in Finance and played college football for what NFL commentator and former NFL head coach, John Gruden, calls, “the greatest team ever”, the 2001 National Champion Hurricanes.  During Nate’s time at Miami, the Hurricanes won 35 consecutive games and they played for two national championships in the Rose and Fiesta Bowls.

While in South Florida, Nate couldn’t help but fall in love with the ocean, enjoying weekend trips to the Keys aboard a friend’s 52’ motor yacht.

Nate sold Real Estate for Keller Williams in Florida before moving to Southern California and joining the Denison Yacht Sales team in 2010.
