Todd Schenk – New England Yacht Broker

Born in 1963, Todd Schenk grew up in a shoreline town in central Connecticut. The family’s 20′ Thompson wood boat was Todd’s first real exposure to the water.

During his high school years, Todd worked for Eli, a carpenter who became a mentor toward Todd’s maritime carrier. They used to fish the waters off Montauk, New York for big game at every conceivable opportunity. Todd learned a great deal from Eli. He learned that he had a passion for the sea, and learned to respect it as well.

Under his father’s persuasion, Todd attended the Florida Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) where he studied everything from Marina Management, Navigation, Seamanship, to yacht structure and design. In 1987, he earned his Master 50-ton Coast Guard License. Since that time, Todd has been involved in the procurement of vessels and yachts ranging the full gamete.

Todd has successfully sold in excess of 500 boats during the span of his maritime career, mostly working for new boat dealers. He has specialized in brands such as Sea Ray, Formula, Wellcraft, Boston Whaler, and Egg Harbor. Recently Todd has sold Sunseekers, Donzi, Outerlimits, Cigarettes, and Vicem Yachts. His passion all through school and during his tenure in new sales has been larger yachts, whether they are sleek performance yachts, well-designed motoryachts or expedition type forms. Todd truly knows and understands his boats on the water.

With his years of experience, Todd understands the wants and needs of his clients. Todd is easy to talk to for advice, and is always available to his clients 24/7. Todd currently resides in Connecticut with his wife and son. He is always a plane ride away to the West Coast, Florida or Europe. Todd’s goals for the future are quite simple, treat people fairly, work aggressively, and strive to implement listings and the sale of yachts in Florida, and New England.
