Peter grew up boating on the South Shore of Long Island NY, where he had experienced family boating, surfing, fishing and clamming at a very young age in the Great South Bay. His boating addiction advanced at age 17 when Peter purchased and took a year to restore a 1917 30’ Custom Wooden Motoryacht, entered her in a Local Classic Boat Show and sold it soon after (First Sale). Peter has personally owned 15 power boats/yachts over the years of various sizes and construction. He has captained many boats and Yachts for friends and clients between NY, FL, and Bahamas.
When not assisting customers with their boating needs Peter enjoys coaching little league baseball for his son’s baseball team, Boating and fishing with his wife Anna, daughter-Hannah and son-Jake.
Peter was an Operations manager in the Quintal Family Contracting Business on Long Island NY, right out of High School until moving to Florida in 1997 to manage a Plastics Factory that produced Marine products until 2003. It was at this time when he decided to follow his passion and move into Yacht Sales full time for the Largest Marine Retailer for the specializing in Sea Ray and Meridian Yachts. In 2010 he moved on to assist in launching Nautique Yachting USA that distributed and sold high quality Dutch Built Yachts and Brokerage Boats/Yachts.
His knowledge of boat ownership and attention to details have helped many customers (now friends) eliminate the fears and concerns of owning a boat/yacht. Now their sole focus is Enjoying the Boating Lifestyle with family and friends.
Peter’s motto is: Enjoy Life…Go Boating!

Thank you also for the amazing basket! We used the champagne for the toast on her Sunday!
Yes we are amazed how it all came together…rather unreal thanks to you! I think I will have a referral for you shortly so hopefully the hard work will lead to more sales!

We cannot express how grateful we are of your patience and professional character. Thank you so much for putting up with our Spanglish since I know how difficult that can be sometimes, once again, thank you.

We made to Dinner Key, and the boat ran like a charm. Thanks so much for your bottle of champagne, and for taking care of Lisa. You are ACE in our book. A real class act! We highly recommend you to any friend considering a boat.
With our best and warmest regards,

Knowing the type of boat we wanted, and the various makes under consideration, we began to visit various brokers in earnest and attend boat shows. We quickly realized that no two dealers are the same and every boat had their strengths and weakness – thus making the decision process that much more complicated and confusing. We are concerned: which make really was the most reliable and would provide us the most enjoyment; and which dealer would really stand behind the boat being sold and provide a high level of service?
After talking with numerous dealers and seeing numerous boats, we met Peter Quintal at a small regional Ft. Lauderdale boat show. The small show was the perfect setting for us to compare the various boats head to head; attendance was no where near as large as the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show or the Miami Boat Show, and we had time to go at our own pace and ask all the questions that came to mind. Peter was extremely patient and addressed many of the concerns we had.
After several follow-up discussions and visits with Peter, my wife and I decided to buy our Sea Ray.
We took delivery just in the time for the 2004 Memorial Day weekend. What I truly did not realize at
the time we bought the boat, was just how fast my family would take to boating and how much we enjoyed spending time together on the water. As a result, we wound up spending almost every weekend during the summer of 2004 on the Sea Ray.
This then lead us to ask ourselves the question, “why do we need to keep coming home at night on
Saturday just to take out again on Sunday?”
As Labor Day approached, and my wife and I continued to discuss the merits of owning a bigger boat, Peter began educating me on the ins and outs of larger boat ownership. Maintenance, dock space, handling, overnight usage, vacationing, fuel and other expenses were all part of the discussion.
We looked at the 341 Meridian and thought it was too small for us; we then talked to both Peter and other friends who had the 381 Meridian and thought that it would be just right for us (notice the continuous progression to larger vessels). I brought the family to see the boat, my wife liked it, the kids loved it! We began negotiating to buy the boat. Before finally agreeing to it, on a whim, I asked Peter to take me to see a 411 Meridian that was down in Miami. Once we saw it, my wife and I quickly agreed that the 411 was the right boat for us (although, somehow, by wife and kids did get a new dog out of those discussions). We negotiated the deal and took delivery right before the 2004 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
Unknowingly, it turned out that the 411 was a great “starter” boat for us – I say unknowingly, because at the time, I thought is would be the last boat we would ever buy. I enjoyed learning how to maneuver a larger vessel, I enjoyed learning to navigate the seas with it (we took it on several trips down to the Keys) and it solidified my family’s view that boating was right for us. My wife became comfortable sleeping on it, cooking on it, and handling the lines. The kids had their own room and loved to dive into the ocean on a moments notice. The only problem was, there was no place for guests.
Fast forward a year and half later and we decide we needed a bigger boat, one with 3 staterooms. Based on numerous considerations (including the size of the slip that I had purchased in the past year). we determined that a 50 to 55 flybridge would make sense for us. During this time, we continued to build our relationship with Peter and his wife, not only did Peter sell us our previous boats, but he and his wife had become friends as well.
We looked at 50 to 55 foot vessels from Sunseeker, Azimut, Ferretti, Silverton and Sea
Ray. Again, like we did when we bought our first boat, we spent time touring the yachts and meeting with the various dealers and yacht brokers. As we did this, we continued our discussions with Peter and began settling in on a Sea Ray 52 Sedan Bridge.
After comparing the various yachts, performance, engine specifications, layouts, fuel consumption, air conditioning on the bridge (very important!) to name a few attributes, it again became clear to us that the Sea Ray was the right boat for us. Our realizations eventually lead us to make the ultimate purchase at the 2006 Miami Boat Show (they also gave me a good deal on the 411 trade).

I have had the pleasure working with Peter Quintal with the purchase of my boat. Mr. Quintal provided me with excellent customer service and went out of his way to make things happen. Yacht brokers like Mr. Quintal make purchasing a boat a pleasure.

In April of this year, we purchased a Sea Ray from Peter Quintal. It has been one of the most enjoyable and exciting experiences in my life.
Having purchased a home in Harbor Island on the water that included a 74′ dock, I maintained that I never wanted the trials of boat ownership and would just sip cocktails on the dock.
My son convinced me to attend a meeting with a yacht broker just to look. That someone was Peter Quintal and I found him to be immediately very likeable, highly informative, and enthusiastic without trying to convince us to buy a boat. That day I decided to buy a 34′ boat he demonstrated, and it has brought much joy and fun to our family.
Since then we cruised in Key Largo with a group headed by our new friends Peter and Anna Quintal, and had many new and wonderful experiences. Peter and Anna are excellent hosts and are passionate about boating and truly make you feel like friends.
I like to buy exotic, sports, and racing cars, and although I find what I like, I always “buy the guy” meaning the person and the transaction are paramount. I can say without hesitation, that “my guy” is Peter Quintal and highly recommend meeting and working with him.

Needless to say, a first boat purchase is an experience one never forgets. As we looked for a boat that would suit our lifestyle and our needs as well the choices were endless. The main reason we decided to make our purchase with you was the professionalism and the “no pressure” feeling of having to make a decision in a hurry. Peter Quintal was not only very knowledgeable but also patient as we had many questions.
Peter personally came on our drive to bring the boat to our marina on his day off. It was always what was convenient for us throughout our experience. We were always presented with the facts and then told to just take our time and make the decision that was right for us. Peter still keeps in touch to see how we are doing.

The boat is doing great and we are having a blast with it. Thanks again for all the help in the decision making process. Your patience and knowledge really was a surprise.
I had visited many other dealers in the area and was not impressed with their brokers at all. You were genuinely concerned about making sure I chose the right boat, and acted as more of a “sales consultant” than a pushy salesman that just wanted to ‘close the deal today”. It was a welcomed change!
Your professionalism throughout the sale, and the expert delivery process the day I took possession exceeded every expectation, and even after the sale still is. I will recommend you for years to come. Thanks again Peter!

First we would like to thank you for all of your help with the purchase of our new boat. Being first time boat owners, we were nervous about looking for and buying our first boat. You made that process very easy and enjoyable for us and we would like to thank you for that. It felt like you were there to help find the right boat for us and not just sell us a boat. You made both of us very comfortable and confident that we were buying the right boat for our family.
Thank you again for all of your help and assistance with this. This was the best experience we have had buying any large item.
- Jim & Kim Eveker
I wanted to express our gratitude with our purchase of a Sea Ray 58′ Sedan Bridge. Peter Quintal’s expert knowledge of Sea Ray’s product line and his sincere concern of our needs convinced us that you were going to take care of all our yacht service and get-a-way needs. With a yacht broker like Peter Quintal we will be a customer for a long time.
- Jack & Jackie Titolo, 58' Sea Ray Owner
Just wanted to say thanks for all of your help with my recent boat purchase. You continue to be a great help even after the sale. I don’t know what I’d do without your amazing expertise. I look forward to doing business with you again in the future. Thanks again!
