Lazzara Yachts to Replace LSX92 With LSX95

Two years after debuting the super-sleek LSX92 megayacht, Lazzara Yachts is building its replacement, the LSX95.

A past Lazzara owner, who has owned 2 of the Tampa, Florida-based builder’s yachts to date, commissioned Hull #1. LSX95 features the same emphasis on express/sprot lines and a fixed hardtop. (When the LSX92 was first introduced in 2010, she didn’t have a hardtop. Lazzara Yachts added the featurelater in 2011, along with a longer flying bridge that offered 50% more space for lounging, dining, and sunning.) You’ll also note the 3 large, vertical hull windows, a signature of sorts for the LSX series. They’re contained within her master stateroom, which further benefits from a fold-down balcony. Three other staterooms are for guests, and though they don’t have balconies, they do have good space.

Lazzara Yachts has not revealed what the LSX95’s engine package will be, though it might be the same as that of the LSX92. Aboard her, quadruple Volvo Penta IPS 900s are installed, permitting a top speed in excess of 30 knots. (Recall that the IPS system involves pod propulsion, saving significant room and being more fuel efficient in comparison to traditional diesels.)

Something else sure to be similar to the LSX92 is the LSX95′s transom. It lifts to reveal a tender, which when offloaded allows the teak-lined space to serve as a beach club.

Something Lazzara does say will change, though, is the megayacht’s interior helm—it’s being eliminated. This allows for more saloon space. It should be welcome, given the heightened sense of volume that the LSX series provides. The atrium-like galley and dining area are down a few steps from the saloon and benefit from a vaulted, 14-foot-high ceiling.

Delivery of the LSX95 should be within the next 12 months.
