As a native of the Florida coast, Blake's love for boating truly comes first nature. From center consoles to superyachts, he has been active in the industry his entire life. Growing up on the west coast of Florida, his life literally revolved around the water with his family, who spent every weekend out on the boat either fishing or diving the wrecks in the Gulf. Blake's family owns a 40' Luhrs sportfish that he has been running since he was 15 years old.
Blake moved to south Florida in 2009 to start college at Palm Beach Atlantic University. During his time at PBA, he was the dockmaster at Palm Harbor Marina in downtown West Palm Beach. With slips that accommodate boats from 40' to 250', he was able to make countless connections with people in every realm of the industry. He left Palm Harbor Marina to make his name known as a captain in the industry.
He currently holds his 100GT Master Captain's license and has extensive knowledge of the Bahamas, having traveled to most of the islands from West End all the way down to Cat Island and George Town in the Exumas.
As a freelance captain, Blake has been able to operate many different makes of boats including Hatteras, Viking, Horizon, Beneteau, Contender, Bahama, Sea Ray, and many more. This has helped diversify his knowledge on many different yachts and yacht systems.
Blake is very family oriented, stays involved with his church, and when he gets free time he enjoys travelling with his friends and family, even if it’s just a quick weekend getaway to see something new.
Blake has recently partnered with his dad, Rod Nichol, who is also a broker with Denison and is equally as passionate about the yachting industry which adds to the attention given to their clients. Together they will work tirelessly to make sure each client is well taken care of even after the sale.
Having taught many clients how to handle their new yachts, Blake will use his expertise from being a captain for many years to ensure that every client is completely comfortable in their new yacht.
