RECAP: Crowds Flock to San Diego Boat Show

June 23, 2016 8:11 am

The San Diego International Boat Show last weekend (June 16-19) was a huge success.

Denison brokers had a strong presence with four boats in the show at three locations – two powerboats and two sailboats. Denison had its own catamaran section at the entrance to the show, and the other two spots were not far. Kurt Jerman, a broker in Denison’s San Diego office, said the show was very busy and they received an offer and are under contract on one of the listings.

The boats in the show were:
2016 Carver 37
2011 Jenneau 42DS
2015 Fountaine Pajot Mahe 36
Maxum 35 (received offer at the show)

The show was under new management this year and organizers did a great job on all fronts, Jerman said. All four areas experienced good traffic, and the San Diego debut of the new Carver 37 was a nice bonus. The show took place at the Sheraton Hotel & Marina on San Diego’s Harbor Island.

“It was the busiest I have seen this show. Every day was jam-packed,” Jerman said. “There were good crowds, and we had lots of traffic on all the boats.”

Denison San Diego plans to have an open house on July 16 to showcase the Carver 37 on its own and will also have some other brokerage boats on display at the Sunroad Marina and Resort on Harbor Island. Stay tuned for more details.
