Elysian Talk of Antigua Charter Yacht Show

With the Antigua Charter Yacht Show underway this week, the 197′ Abeking & Rasmussen Elysian is the talk of the show. The show is the largest of its kind, with more than 90 yachts, and is attended by more than 140 charter brokers as well as a variety of vendors.

Captain Mark Lacey and crew have given more than 30 charter brokers tours, and impressed them all. 

Judging took place for the Chef de Concours chef’s and table setting competition on Monday, and awards will be announced Thursday night. 

On Wednesday, brokers were invited to take part in an exclusive tour and private lunch on board Elysian. They were greeted with champagne and toured the yacht with Captain Lacey.

All said the food was phenomenal, with the chef coming out to explain each course as it was being served. The table setting was gorgeous, and comments from veteran charter brokers included:

“Best lunch EVER.”
“Service was impeccable.”
“ELYSIAN is a masterpiece.”
“What a great program.”

Several brokers also visited the yacht at sunset Tuesday and Wednesday to catch up on business during wine and wifi.

Brokers are eagerly anticipating the diamond earring drawing on the docks and looking forward to doing the “Elysian Swing” during the Yacht Hop Thursday night, which will feature cocktails, canapes, music and dance lessons.
