Newport Charter Show Contest Winners Announced

The winners of the crew competitions, sponsored by Denison, at the 2017 Newport Charter Yacht Show were announced at the Closing Cocktail Party & Awards Ceremony Thursday night before the show wrapped up today in Newport, RI. 

The winners of the Helly Hanson raffle also were chosen last night. Capt. Steve Kemp of M/Y Tail Lights was the lucky winner of a $150 gift certificate to Helly Hanson.

Denison also sponsored the Tablescaping Competition – the contestants were Rebecca Kearl of M/Y BW, Meghan Harrison of M/Y PRAXIS, Ashley Pursel of M/Y Blue Moon, Samantha Mujica of M/Y Frisky Lady, Sandra Murphy of M/Y Tail Lights and Feather Lee of M/Y Fair Skies.

The challenge was to artistically decorate a dining table onboard utilizing the yacht’s own linen, china, tableware and decorative items including candles and flowers. The criteria used in judging included originality of theme, composition, use of materials and how well the tablescape fit with the yacht.

The winner was Rebecca Kearl of M/Y BW, who won a $300 gift certificate to a local restaurant for the crew to enjoy. Congrats to the winners of all the competitions!
