Sunbird Yachts to Design 198-Foot Megayacht
China’s Sunbird Yachts announced a signed contract to design a 198-foot megayacht for a customer in its home country.
“This is our biggest project so far, and we intend to work with industry leaders worldwide to provide the best solutions for the client’s boating requirements,” CEO Li Yue Xian said in a statement. “Such areas will include structural design, acoustic controls, interior and exterior styling.”
The shipyard also said it “is positive that this will eventually turn into a build contract.”
The design work is valued at $500,000.
