Denison’s name in yachting started in 1948 with Frank Denison, after purchasing Dooley’s Dry Dock in Fort Lauderdale. At the time, Denison was a defense contractor during World War II building PT boats. Frank renamed the yard “Broward Marine” and began building a selection of the finest yachts for the world’s premiere yachtsmen. Broward Marine (Denison) became legendary for building innovating, seaworthy, efficient, and beautiful yachts—and that reputation has endured well over 60 years. Ken Denison started the yacht brokerage as “Denison & Davis” yacht brokerage, and in 2002, Bob Denison took the helm of Denison Yacht Sales. Since then, the firm has steadily expanded, adding new offices and staffing with an excellent and diverse group of professionally dedicated yacht brokers.

On March first, Flying Cloud Yachts and Denison Yachting merged, combining the national and international marketing strength of Denison Yachting with the strong local reputation that Flying Cloud Yachts has built over the past 45 years. Flying Cloud Yachts brokerage services will still focus on selling quality pre-owned yachts, as well as offering new lines of boats to their yachting community. Denison Yachting is the dealer for Horizon Motor Yachts from 50 feet to over 150 feet, Dufour Sailboat from 36 feet to 56 feet.
