Biography

David Jirikovic grew up across the state of Michigan as the son of an energy executive, which at that time was similar in to that of a military child except for within a single state. All of the childhood relocations aside, there was always one constant: water. Growing up weekends and summers were spent on the Great Lakes and progressing from a 1955 Cadillac aluminum rowboat at 6 years old as his age increased so did the length of boat he would be seen operating as master.

Post graduation from Michigan State University, parallel coursework at the University of Michigan, while also holding commissioner status for the City of East Lansing, David moved into prosthetic device sales/ops with a major device manufacturer until meeting Ken Denison.

Ken had recently acquired rights to a major Downeast manufacturer's line for the Great Lakes and under Ken's expert tutelage, it was time to transition to the yachting world. The business quickly expanded with the acquisition of the Southeast Florida/Bahamas territory for the same manufacturer and David tirelessly focused on growing the expanding business reaching dealer of the year status for multiple years.

Expanding on his sales and dealership knowledge acquired previously, David then moved on to focus on creation of new product as well as a brand new OEM. Beginning with a power catamaran project, then on to a concurrently running performance monohull project involving design and production teams from the United States, UK, Brazil, and South Africa. He introduced the new OEM's four brand new designs to the market with the first of four models being launched a short 26 months from release of original concept.
