Australian Super Yacht & Marine Export Conference (ASMEX): May 17

The 2011 ASMEX (Australian Superyacht & Marine Export Conference) is attracting considerable interest from international yachting community looking to learn more about the Australian Superyacht Sector.

“The numbers look exciting,” explains MaryAnne Edwards, CEO of Superyacht Australia. “We already have registered interest from the United States, the U.K., Taiwan, China, the Middle East and New Zealand, even though we haven’t sent out registration forms yet, or the full conference program.”

The conference will focus on key issues affecting the yachting industry while profiling Australia’s refit and repair facilities and showcasing Australia as a sophisticated super yacht cruising destination.

The conference, which begins on May 17 prior to Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, will be held at Sanctuary.

Key note speakers include Iain Murray CEO & Americas Cup Regatta Director and Carla Demaria of Monte Carlo Yachts. Edwards confirmed that the excellent line up of yachting industry professionals and government stakeholders will ensure this Superyacht Conference provides value and current industry knowledge for all attendees.
