Amels Yachts Sell First Megayacht: Limted Edition 199

Amels Yachts announced the sale of the first Amels Megayacht, Limited Edition 199.

The Amels 199 is well underway in construction already and the Tim Heywood designed superyacht has caught the attention of a new owner. Her new owner is not unfamiliar to Amels Yachts as they are a repeat customer.

The Limited Editions 199 Amels features a plumb bow, reminiscent of the Amels Megayacht Sea Axe line, but also boast number of custom features, including an enclosed lounge to be built on the sun deck. She will also feature fold-down balconies on either side of her Formal Dining Room to allow better views while dining. Another notable feature will be her helipad, which will be located on forward deck of the megayacht, just aft of the forecastle area.

Directly below the helipad region will be a tender garage with shell doors on port and starboard sides for access to twin 8-meter yacht tenders. On the inside, yacht interior designer Laura Sessa has worked on the design and styling for this particular unit.

Her massive interior spaces offer luxurious accommodations for 14 guests and 14 crew. Her top speed will be in the region of 16.5 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at around 13 knots. Amels Shipyard expects her to be completed in 2013.
