Charles Blickle has been my yacht broker and before me was my father's yacht broker. He helped my father order and purchase a semi-custom 70' Ocean Alexander in the mid 80's. Since then he has personally assisted me in all aspects of the sale of the Ocean Alexander, the purchase and sale of a brokerage 42' Sea Ray, a new 50' Sea Ray, a new 65' Fairline, and a brokerage 76' Lazzara. He also consulted me on the purchase of my current 103' Westbay. I have always been comfortable with knowing that he is looking after my best interest. He is very reliable and has great integrity.

I met Charles Blickle in 1998 when he helped me find a 52’ Hatteras convertible. Charles was very patient with me as he explained the differences between the several brands available, engine options, construction, electronics, etc. This was my first venture into serious off shore fishing and Charles took the time to make sure I evaluated all pertinent matters and made a well informed decision. His advice during the buying process was priceless because I had never been through it before.  Things like where to haul the boat for inspection, surveyors to consider and where to take the boat for  updating were matters Charles helped with.

After I bought the Hatteras, Charles listed my 40’ Silverton for sale. He helped me find a dock in Ft Lauderdale where I could leave the boat. He checked on it regularly for the three or four months it was for sale and made sure it stayed clean, and safe from hurricane threat. When he found the right buyer, Charles once again went out of his way to make sure we had a smooth closing. Living in North Carolina and working full time, it was difficult for me to be around for the sea trial and evaluation of the survey results.  Charles handled everything.

In 2003 Charles helped me with the purchase of a 36’ Tiara. This was a relatively simple transaction, partly because Charles saw that I knew all the comparable boats for sale.

Three years later I asked Charles to help me find a motor yacht in the 70’ range that I could afford. We walked the docks at the Miami Brokerage Show and took in the various alternatives; different brands, styles, layouts, and vintages. We finally settled on a 70’ Hatteras Cockpit Motor Yacht in the 1989 to 1990 range. I can still remember some of the advice Charles gave me about buying a boat that could be easily resold in the future. Now Charles went about sending me info on the many qualified boats for sale.  He arranged numerous visits and sure enough we found the right boat at the right price.

By now I knew what was ahead of me, but Charles was still there to help with surveyors, boat yards, financing, documentation and so on. Closing went smoothly and I listed my Tiara for sale with Charles.

Once again Charles helped me find dockage while the boat was for sale in Ft Lauderdale. He looked after her and had several suggestions to make sure she sold in a short time. I never had to return to Florida to complete the sale of the Tiara. Charles handled everything.

Sadly I now find it necessary to sell the 70’ Hatteras motor yacht. Of course I will list it with Charles.

Charles is a hardworking and knowledgeable boat broker. But more importantly he is honest and has his clients best interests in mind. Sure he wants to see you buy or sell your boat, but only if it is the right deal for the client.

I strongly recommend Charles Blickle for any activity in the boat brokerage business.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank all the folks at Denison who might have assisted in my recent boat purchase.

I would also like to let you know what a great job John Zagorski did handling the sale. As you know John also handled the recent sale, last August, of my Hunter 42, also performing above and beyond what we expected. During both transactions John took care of all aspects of the sale and purchase, allowing Stephanie and I to go about our daily work and personal life without having to run around doing small errands to get the deals completed. The few times that we called John with questions or issues we discovered that he had already addressed those.

During this recent purchase we asked a lot of John in terms of seeing different boats in different locations and he never once said he wasn't available or couldn't go there. As a matter of fact he even went to preview some boats to see if was worth our time to drive a distance to view them. And we are not talking about a big ticket boats here. As a commission salesman myself I know how important customer service and return business is and we are committed to follow John and send our friends to him.

In short he is a great asset to Denison Yacht sales and hopefully treated as such!

Brian Nobles is truly a rare guy. I purchased a yacht through Brian, which happened to be quite a distance from me which required extra diligence and expertise.

Brian has both and more.  He never stopped communicating, following-up, assisting, and having my back before, during and after the entire transaction. I cannot recommend a better yacht broker and true professional. I would personally choose Brian again to find a yacht or represent me no matter where or how far a yacht was from me that I wanted to purchase. I felt like he was on top of things the entire time and added an element of trust and security throughout the process.
