I am grateful to Denison Yachting and, in particular my yacht broker, Fred Schmitt, for his top-to-bottom level support and assistance in our buying our motor yacht. My wife and I had heard about Denison previously but had opted to purchase previous boats on our own, which admittedly had its cumbersome moments. Fred connected with us a few years back and offered to be of service should we ever wish to change boats, though we didn’t at the time. He would regularly check in with us and always sought to understand where we were in our boating experience and what our plans might be in the future. When the time came to purchase our next boat, we connected with Fred to have an initial discussion – I bless the day we did too!

Fred’s patient, thoughtful, and knowledgeable approach helped us immeasurably. Even as my wife and I contracted COVID, he checked in with us to see if there was anything he could do to help. As our health improved, he worked to arrange safe options for viewing boat options. He also worked directly with our personal credit union in moving through the loan process and USCG documentation, as our credit union had never conducted a yacht loan previously. He made sure that we had boat insurance, and that we were comfortable every step of the way. We are now the proud owners of a motor yacht and cannot wait to get on the water. Yet, even now, Fred continues to help us in the transition with our boat, connecting us to the marina owners to ready the boat for the spring sea trial, and launch (we live in Michigan). He has also connected us to the shop staff since we are also wishing to make a few tech upgrades on the boat.

I had the pleasure of working with Jason for the sale of my 65 Marquis as well as the acquisition of a 72 Marquis. Having worked with many brokers over the years, I have really come to appreciate Jason's style.
