About Express Cruisers

Cruisers For sale

Express cruisers are a top choice for family boating, for many reasons: they offer both fun in the sun and protection from the elements, come in all shapes and sizes, provide exhilarating performance, and can be used for everything from day trips to weekend cruising. In some cases, an express can even double as a fishing boat or a watersports boat.

An Express Cruiser is a fast cruising boat with a full head, a galley, sleeping space with two to six berths. There typically have large open areas near the steering area and in the back of the boat. They range in length from 26 - 75 feet and provide the fun of living on the water with the ability to handle rougher, deeper waters.

Common features include air conditioning, heating, hot water, electrical power from a generator, and a hookup for quick access to shore power. A few of the many popular brands include Sea Ray, Cruisers, Four Winns, Riva, Tiara, Regal, Sabre, and Beneteau.

Express Cruisers Construction & Hull Design: An Express Cruiser does not usually have a Fly Bridge and usually looks sleek and sporty; with the design being biased more toward performance rather than luxurious/spacious accommodation.

Express Cruisers Power Options: There can be one or two powerful engines. Cruisers with sterndrive power, sometimes called inboard/outboards, are popular in inland waters.

Saltwater boaters sometimes favor inboard drive, finding it easier to maintain in that trickier environment. With inboard power, the engine and propeller provide straight-ahead pushing, while a rudder directs the force and the boat’s travel. Fewer parts are immersed in corrosive salt water. But, dockside handling requires different techniques than sterndrives, which are steerable in forward and reverse.
