Vessel Walkthrough

This vessel has wide side decks and can be accessed through opening lifeline gates Port and Starbd.  She can also be accessed from astern with the fold down “Terrace” swim platform deployed.

The cockpit is spacious with her twin steering wheels opening up the entire cockpit for an easy walk through to the companionway

Upon entering the Salon her interior space seems quite large and is bathed by several overhead hatches and large fixed ports to Port and Starbd.  The day head is immediately to Starbd of the companionway and also serves the aft double cabin.   Her Nav station is to Starbd with a second VIP guest cabin to Port, with en-suite private head and shower.

Forward of the Nav station on the Starbd side is the large dinette with hydraulic lowering table, and seating facing both sides of the table

The popular linear Galley on this model is along the Port side of the salon.  The Dinette is separated from the Galley by a fixed semi partition.  A Flat Screen TV retracts into the partition when h=not in use.

This arrangement gives the boat a much larger feel than similar boats with other Salon arrangements.

The Master stateroom is forward of the Salon and contains a centerline Queen berth and private en-suite head and shower.

An additional cabin is accessed from the forward deck and can be an additional guest cabin or crew quarters.

Owner Comments

From Annapolis (original port), she has sailed the Chesapeake Bay; Annapolis to Solomon Island; Annapolis to Norfolk; Norfolk to Bermuda; Bermuda to St Thomas; the USVI’s including St Croix; the BVI’s; Puerto Rico and the Spanish Virgins; Puerto Rico to Culebra to St Croix; St Croix to St Thomas; St Thomas to Puerto Rico.

She loves open waters and ocean sailing. With all sails driven by and electric motor (genoa/jib) or electric winches (mail furling and boom), the skipper can raise, lower, and tack from the cockpit with ease. The first mate need not budge from her cozy cushion unless she is doing the sailing and the skipper is snoozing.  Dropping/raising an anchor can all occur from the helm, or forward with remote control. With her powerful bow thrusters and 110 hp Yanmar motor with straight shaft and 3 blade feathering prop, docking bow in or stern in is easy to manage. With her on board Onan 7.5 kw generator and solar panels, she easily provides power for the A/C in all cabins; her water maker, ice maker, and washer dryer make her totally self sufficient for off shore long distance sailing and living. Her 6’10” draft (fully loaded) and her excellent ballast allow her to handle heavy winds and seas. She reaches 9-10 knots in moderate winds with ease and with heavier following winds and waves she has topped 14-15 knots for extended periods of time. With her VHF, or her Icom M802B SSB and Packet Modem, and her installed Iridium phone, the skipper is never out of contact with land or other vessels at sea. Whether at sea or at anchor, she provides tremendous comfort. And, if the beauty of an anchorage with blue skies and brilliant sunshine becomes cloudy and rainy, then a simple electric raising of her large screen TV in the salon, and her three (3) channel KHD Trac Vision satellite tracking TV receiver allows you to watch your favorite football game from back home.

Manufacturer Provided Description

Every aspect of the Jeanneau 54 is all-new and designed to fit the way you live, like no other yacht in her class. Never before seen solutions are found throughout, from the clever VIP interior layout to the spacious living cockpit and the easy and discreet management of the tender and the innovative aft terrace. Every detail and function have been considered to enhance life aboard and the cruising experience.

The Jeanneau 54 is born from the close collaboration of Philippe Briand, whose chined hull and elegant deck profile ensure seaworthy handling and timeless looks, and Andrew Winch’s meticulous approach to the interior where every ergonomic detail and the selection of high-end materials echo the look and feel of his super yacht pedigree.

The design goal of the Jeanneau 54 was to not simply build a bigger Sun Odyssey but to incorporate super yacht luxuries in an easy to handle smaller package. The Jeanneau 54 thus has the same features and amenities as the Flagship Jeanneau Yacht 64 and many other luxury / super yachts but at a fraction of the cost! The Jeanneau 54 is designed to provide immense comfort but is also unquestionably a sailor’s yacht. Briand’s hard chine hull increases performance, speed, stability, and also allows for a roomier interior. The immense cockpit on the Jeanneau 54 accounts for over 40% of the deck area, providing an unprecedented level of space above deck. Below deck is an equally ample amount of space with wide expanses of view through large hull ports and immense deck windows.
