Hull And Deck


Only the finest materials go into a Cabo - vinylestor resin, bi-axial non-woven fiberglass roving and coring material from the water line up, offering super strength while reducing the weight in the hull. The bottom is solid fiberglass. All of the hidden areas are ground then finished with LP paint for easy cleaned hard finish.

Engine Room

  • Engine received their 1,000 hour service by Saunders Engines in Orange Beach, AL. Engines now have 1,120 hours (Jan 2019).

Cabo offered this year model these MAN engines, model 836LE401 with 500 HP each; it was a $50,000 factory upgrade over CATs. It makes this boat 2.5 knots faster and more fuel efficient than the Caterpillars. Much quieter at every RPM! The 1,000 service cost the exact same done by the same CAT/MAN dealer. There is also more room in the engine room too!!

Hull And Bow

2018 Upgrades


  • Sanded all spider cracks off tackle centers and cover board areas by tower leg base, primed and painted
  • Removed and replaced every light on the boat with multi-color LED lights (2018)
  • New 4-sided enclosure with EZ2CY style Makralon, sand bag on entrance door (2018)
  • Removed both below deck fish boxes, had to disconnect fish box freezers, gain access to exhaust. All exhaust hoses and clamps, repainted bilges with two part white epoxy paint (2018)
  • Removed and replaced all windshield gaskets and re-bedded windows
  • Complete engine service: oil change, filters, impellers, belts, coolant, gear oil, and same on gen-set
  • Removed and replaced cockpit coaming padding, tower seat & back rest, cockpit mez-deck seating - all done in Buckskin (2018)
  • Polished and waxed entire boat, tower, and bow rail
  • Replaced both VHF antennas (2018)
  • Replaced glendinning tower control unit with new (2018)
  • Rebuilt all wiper/washer system; new arms and wiper blades (2018)
  • Had heavy duty cockpit cover made to fit (2018)
  • Had tower console and helm console covers made (2018)
  • Went through both A/C units, all 3 freezer units, drained Freon, acid washed all systems, vacuumed all systems and re-filled with Freon, came back and adjusted charges (2018)
  • Had both engines alignment checked, one was out, both shaft seals were replaced (2018)
  • Had fire system inspected and re-tagged (2018)
  • Had Charlie's Diesel test run boat, found 2 small oil leaks which were fixed by tightening bolts, replaced both heat exchanger caps - all test good (2018)
