This GT 49 Happy Ours features the two stateroom and two head layout. There is a large VIP cabin forward with a centerline double, windows and opening ports in the hull sides and a deck hatch overhead with shade and screen. Lockers to port and stbd provide ample storage and a 32" LCD TV is mounted on the aft bulkhead. There is direct en suite access to the forward head and a separate stall shower and access from the galley.
Aft is a Lower Lounge area with an L-shaped settee for a lower sitting area to starboard which may be converted to a berth. This lounge features a 37" LDC TV and is across from the galley
The Galley is large and down just three stairs from the upper salon and helm area. The galley is bright and airy and under the windshields to create a cathedral ceiling effect. Twin stainless steel sinks are recessed into the countertop and are close to a two burner electric cooktop. Storage abounds with a pull out trash bins under the sink, a "magic corner" storage rack and very large pull-out racks over next to the full size refrigerator and freezer. A microwave is fitted to one of the overhead lockers.
Aft and down a couple of stairs you enter a luxurious Master Stateroom which spans the full width of the boat for a "full beam" owners cabin. Large windows in the hull to port and starboard provide panoramic views of the harbor and add a sense of space and expansiveness. A queen size berth is centerline and accessible from both sides. A comfortable reading area is located to port as is the entrance to the private owner's head with sink, electric toilet, and large stall shower with opaque skylight for natural light.
Up a few stairs you find the Helm Station to starboard with a double bench seat with hinged bolster. The helm console features an array of electronics and displays including dual Simrad NSS 12" MFD's, a Volvo 7" digital engine control display, rudder angle indicator, compass, and to stbd of the wheel, throttles and a Joystick and bow thruster controls.
The Salon is just aft and features a large U-shaped settee with hi/lo dining cocktail table with two leaves. There is a long cabinet to starboard which houses a 40" LDC TV on a lift plus lockers for bar ware an ice maker. A three panel sliding glass door opens fully to join the salon with the cockpit or closes to provide privacy and climate control for the interior. The roof may be opened with an electric actuator to let the sun and air in on nice days.
The Cockpit features a second Joystick docking station, a large L-shaped outdoor seat with electrically controlled teak table that converts the area to a day bed. There is also a grilling station with electric grill and sink and refrigerator under and a control head for the garage door and hydraulic submersible swim platform. Optional teak decking dresses up this space with a little New England flair.
The Aft Deck is laid with teak also and is hydraulic and submersible. This is a great place to swim from and a removable swim ladder and built-in emergency ladder are provided. Access the dinghy storage area which includes rollers and an electric winch mechanism to make it easy to fit your dinghy in this protected and secure space. Fit up to a 9'4" inflatable. The whole floor of this garage lifts for ultimate easy engine access and there is also access to the engine room from a hatch in the cockpit floor.
On the Foredeck you find a large anchor locker with electric anchor windlass and a huge sun pad for lounging. Access to the bow is from side deck walkways with a bow rail and handrails for added safety.
