Perseverance Yacht Description

                                NEW PRICING                            READY FOR SALE
PERSEVERANCEThe yacht's stoutness is apparent as you enter the
heavy steel entrance gates located on each side. Her 26-inch side decks are enclosed with 34-inch-high bulwarks. Welded rails inside the bulwarks that run almost continuously fore and aft. They come in handy for tying fender lines wherever needed. A Portuguese bridge frames a 12-1/2-foot-wide seat facing the working  foredeck. Two-inch-diameter steel pipe railings continue forward from the bulwarks to the hydraulically operated anchor windlass. The 130-square foot raised aft deck provides seating, as well as access to the 11 by l2 foot dinghy storage deck, which is equipped with custom made cranes on both port and starboard sides. The custom electronics mast can be lowered for improved bridge clearance.Entrance to "Perseverance's" interior is through doors on either side of the pilothouse that are furnished with screens to allow the free flow of fresh air.To port, four steps leading aft take you to the galley and saloon, while a circular stairway on the starboard side leads to the two guest cabins forward. The 132 square feet of galley/salon space is used efficiently, with a V-shaped galley to starboard, a sleeper sofa and lounge chair, and a sliding dining table. The table for two can slide out of the forward bulkhead to seat up to eight on folding chairs. The galley is comfortable for one person to work in at a time. It includes an apartment-sized refrigerator, stove, and microwave and provides a secure space for
meal preparation while under way. A large window to starboard offers good visibility and plenty of natural light. From the saloon, aft steps lead down to the master stateroom. The stairs form a concealed, hinged panel that provides a second entrance to the engine room below. The full-width master stateroom features a queen-size walk-around berth, lots of cabinets and drawers, and a private head with shower. The staterooms are finished with a pale gray laminate that provides a ship-like feel. The two guest staterooms are located in the forward third of the boat, and they share a head. The bow stateroom has stacked berths, storage, and the cabin is well lit, thanks to the deck hatch above. Moving aft, a small but sufficient head is located at the foot of the circular staircase. A door leads aft to the midship stateroom, furnished with a queen-size berth and more storage. THE POWER THAT DRIVES HER
A door in the aft bulkhead of the midship stateroom leads to the heart and soul of the boat : the engine room. The 180hp Cummins B6BTS.9M diesel is directly aft of a built-in work bench with storage. Safety-yellow grab rails surround the engine which lies low in the hull, driving a Twin Disc transmission leading to a 30-inch, four-blade Nibral prop. A 24 hp hydraulic pump is connected to the front of the motor's crankshaft. The pump provides power for the 8.5 KW Lima generator, the bow thruster, anchor windlass,  hydraulic steering system, and Sea Brace stabilizers. "PASSAGEMAKER" magazine October 2010
