Independence represents an outstanding opportunity to purchase a spacious, very well constructed Bruce Farr designed, high performance yacht at a fraction of the price. She is currently stored on the hard in a protected storage facility where she may be viewed. This out of the water location provides an opportunity to view underwater areas which can only be viewed at time of the survey. Her draft is under 6' for sailing in thin water areas. This bulb designed keel provides a vessel which is resistant to heeling forces when going to weather in spite of a shallow draft.
The deck provides a large cockpit with spacious folding table for comfortable entertaining. Aft of the cockpit is a transom designed for ease of access from the dock or water.
Forward of the cockpit the side decks and coach roof provide a safe platform to access all parts of the vessel.
The teak wood interior provides for 3 generous staterooms-the master stateroom located forward. 4 heads are designed to enable all staterooms to have private access to toilet facilities.
The galley is large and to starboard in the salon. It is U shaped with microwave, 3 burner Force 10 stove and massive refrigeration in two separate compartments. The navigation station is forward of the galley to starboard and large enough to hold a chart for old school navigation.
To port in the salon is the very large dining table with seating for up to 8. The table top folds out to provide for large or smaller dining-entertaining.
Aft of the salon are two private double staterooms, each with their own head compartments
Many hatches and ports provide an abundance of light and ventilation.
The rig is located to the side of Independence and may be easily be viewed and surveyed. It features a furling system for the jib.
