Cannes Boat Show to Feature 2 Van der Valk Yachts

August 12, 2016 8:14 am

Every year in early September, more than 50,000 enthusiasts fill the ports at each end of the Croisette to discover the world’s most beautiful boats.

Recognized as one of the most important international boating events and Europe’s largest on-water show, the Cannes Yachting Festival, which is Sept. 6-11 this year, is known for its eclecticism and the wealth of vessels presented. Approximately 600 boats and yachts are exhibited by the world’s greatest shipyards and most famous brokers.

While you’re there, make sure to stop by the Van der Valk Continental Yachts displays. This year they will have two striking yachts on display:

Continental Two 23M Flybridge “Grey Falcon”

Van der Valk Continental Two 23M - GREY FALCON

“Grey Falcon”’s stylish exterior style is traditionally Mediterranean, with lots of space on the decks. She has no radar mast bracket – instead she features only a boom, allowing full freedom of movement on the flybridge. The large main deck aft features a large seating area and several seats with beautiful views all around, as well as a substantial dining area. There is a steering position outside on the flybridge, with a spacious daybed adjacent and a mini wet bar to port. All of these al fresco spaces make “Grey Falcon” a delightful place to relax during the day and on long summer evenings.

“Grey Falcon”’s interior is a fine combination of the modern and classic, with a smooth flowing transition between the various components. It is characterized by a pale color palette based on elegant grey washed oak, counterbalanced by darker elements of granite, suede and Alcantara, and dark wengé floors. The interior comprises many geometric shapes, generating a sleek contemporary appearance without subtracting from its warmth.

Continental Three 25M Raised Pilothouse “Jangada”

Van der Valk Continental Three 25M - JANGADA

Made entirely of aluminium, “Jangada” has a semi-displacement hard chine, moderate V-shaped hull. She is a fine illustration of the many options that are offered with the Continental Three series.

Her interior design is the fruit of a partnership between the owner, Guido de Groot Design and respected Belgian designer Nick Top. Whitewashed English oak and clean, straight lines constitute the foundation of the interior. “Jangada” is highly sophisticated, with a wealth of thoughtful details and a very open and spacious feeling.

Location: Superyacht Extension
