The 35 is the smallest cruiser in the Carver line, yet it remains luxurious and feature-rich. Carver works its wonders once again with this model to deliver maximum living space with an open layout.

Luxurious and Feature-Rich

Carver’s finesse and attention to detail resonates throughout the craftsmanship and performance of this Super Sport.

Carver introduced the Super Sport line in 2005, but their heritage of building quality yachts dates over 50 years. The 35 Super Sport may be an entry-level boat into Carver’s line, but there is nothing entry-level about this model. This Super Sport is packed with more standard features than most 33-foot yachts, creating a true diamond in the rough.

Cockpit Layout
Whether you want to leave the space for a dance floor or add a table and chairs for outside dining, the cockpit area allows you to do both with its open layout. The cockpit also includes access to the shore power and the cable hook-ups which are on the port side. The hot and cold transom shower is readily available by the transom door.

Through the transom door, you can access the oversized swim platform with stainless steel swim ladder underneath the platform. I would have preferred an integrated folding ladder in the platform instead of underneath the platform where access could be difficult in choppy water.

Up on the Bridge
A few molded-in steps give you great access from the cockpit to the bridge. The captain and companion seats with armrests sit on top of adjustable pedestals. A large comfortable couch can be found just in front of the helm, so that your family can enjoy the cruise from up here too. Canvas and other large items can be stored in the large watertight cabinets.

The helm is fully-equipped with split shifters, Teleflex combination gauges, stereo remote, tilt wheel, and room for your choice of electronics. The wood grain dash adds a touch of style, while the black pad lining the top of the dash allows you to read the instruments much easier.

Moving to the bow to adjust the windlass or to lay out on the optional sun pad is made safe by the high stainless steel rails.

Cabin Features
The excitement of entering the cabin starts with the easy to use tinted sliding glass door with standard screen door. The full-beam salon is airy and bright with a great view from any angle with the 360-degree layout of the windows.

The cherry wood décor gives the cabin a warm and inviting feeling. To starboard is an L-shaped lounge that gives you a perfect seat to converse, or watch a movie on the standard 20” flat screen TV and DVD player. The movable table and optional movable stools also allow you to rearrange the dinette to fit your needs.

Dining Space

If you opt out of the additional stateroom a larger conversational dinette will take its place. The dinette seats four adults comfortably and has an abundant amount of storage beneath the seats. The cherry wood countertops and dry bar with wine and glass rack adorn the wall. When needed, the dinette can be converted into a double berth.

Cooking Delight
The galley is complete with a built-in garbage can, covered stainless steel sink, and microwave/coffee maker (the MicroBrew). The oversized Nova Cool refrigerator and freezer add to the galley’s functionality.

The head is accessible from both the salon and master stateroom. It features a stylish vanity, stainless steel sink, separate shower stall and Vacuflush toilet.

Main Stateroom

Two steps on either side make accessing the elegant queen berth easy. Relax before bed while watching your favorite DVD on the optional flip down 15” flat screen TV and when the movie is over, the separate A/C controls will allow you to sleep in perfect comfort.

The two cedar-lined hanging lockers will keep your clothes fresh and wrinkle-free, while the seven cabinets and surrounding shelves allow you to store all the necessities for your journey.

The optional stateroom is located on the starboard side of the boat. Carver gives you the option of a queen-sized berth or twin berths. You’ll find that there’s sufficient room for your guest’s overnight gear in the hanging locker.

Engine Room
The engine room is accessed through the floor in the salon. It is completely gel coated for a clean look with all wires labeled and tied down. Both engines can be accessed on all sides for general maintenance checks.

Performance
On test day this 38-foot, 3-inch yacht achieved a top speed of 33.9 mph turning 5100 rpm with a pair of 350-hp Crusader 6.0 MPI engines. With four people on board, 78 gallons of fuel, and 20 gallons of water the most economical cruise speed was around 4000 rpm traveling 25.3 mph for a range of 467 miles.

Whether you are in rough or calm seas, the 35 Super Sport handles like a larger boat and provides a superior ride with plenty of space, and many comforts of home.
