Grand Banks Trawlers

Source: Alex Julian, Topspeed.com

An ideal partnership of form and function, forged in a collaboration between Grand Banks and Sparkman & Stephens. Both companies have long and distinguished histories of building yachts of exceptional quality, seaworthiness, strength, comfort, and safety. The 59 Aleutian RP is a stunning product of these legacies.

Below the waterline the 59RP has a modified deep-V hull that is tank-tested and optimized to its speed range, with propeller tunnels to minimize draft without sacrificing performance. Beautiful, swift, and sure at sea, the 59RP will keep you cruising in comfort at 25+ knots.

An ingenious split-level upper deck features a spacious salon with a well-equipped galley, dining and double helm position on the upper level. The lower deck comprises two double cabins both with en-suite facilities, a twin cabin and a separate day head. Fine teak joinery is complemented by soft bulkhead panels, luxurious fabrics and high quality fixtures and fittings.

There are countless attributes of a Grand Banks that contribute to its reputation as one of the most reliable, high-quality yachts designed and built for cruising.

Some of these features are common across all Grand Banks yachts. Others are specific to the series or model you are viewing here. For more detailed information about the superior characteristics of a Grand Banks, contact a GB Authorized Dealer near you.

Features

TDS deck seaming & epoxy:
The seaming compound provides a tough flexible seal to prevent moisture penetration. The epoxy glue for the decks eliminates the need for mechanical fasteners.

Delta-T air oemisters:
The Delta-T air demisters prevent corrosion and engine wear by ensuring that air supplied to the engines are free of sea spray and mist.

Closed cell foam structures:
All deck structures utilize closed-cell foam coring. Closed cell foam is impervious to rot that is typically caused by water penetration.

Clear gel-coat:
Clear gel-coat Is used to allow for visual examination of the laminate. Any noted flaw is repaired to the chance of osmosis.

Epoxy barrier coat:
All hull bottoms receive three layers of epoxy barrier coat. This step in the process will dramatically reduce the chance of osmosis.

Awl-Grip painted metal:
Exterior non-chromed metals are painted with Awl-Grip to provide superior corrosion protection.

Detailed wiring schematic:
All wiring is color-coded and numbered allowing for ease of identification during installation.
