Manufacturer Provided Description

Manufacturer Provided Description
  • Designed in 1995 and the premiere design in the Farr Pilot House Range,
  • The Farr 60 Pilot House turned many heads when launched at the Southampton Boat Show in the same year.
  • She is the epitome of what a modern cruising yacht should be.
  • As standard, the Farr 60 Pilot House is fitted with a fully automated sail handling system.
  • The hydraulic In-mast furling rig from Selden, together with the hydraulic furling headsail system, hydraulic furling staysail, and four powered winches provide complete push button control from the safety of the cockpit.
  • The furling staysail is ideal when the wind rises above 25 knots.
  • It enables owners to sail the yacht in comfort with reduced sail but without loss of speed, ideal when cruising short handed.
  • There is a Navtec manual hydraulic package fitted that controls the vang, babystay, and backstay from the cockpit.
  • The standard specification for the Farr 60 offers three double cabins, all with en suite facilities and one twin with a day head.
  • The Pilot House Saloon with nav station provides good visibility from inside and protection whilst sailing in inclement weather.
  • She encompasses high quality with an outstanding finish, combined with the need for practicality and durability.
  • Even those planning the longest of passages should encounter no difficulties with stowage space in the Farr 60.
  • Every cabin has a hanging locker and drawer space.
  • There are a myriad of under-bunk and sofa lockers, and the ample workshop offers storage for tools, spares, and sails.
  • Both the engine room and separate machinery room are easily accessed and carefully soundproofed.

  • A Spacious 360 degree view pilothouse with a four cabin layout offers exceptional comfort and living space.
  • The interior is mahogany and teak with teak and holly sole, and leather upholstery.
  •  The golden leather color contrasts nicely with the woodwork.
  • Starting aft, a passageway opens into the sumptuous master stateroom. The large walk-around king berth is located at center-line against the aft bulkhead. Two reading lamps and a compassare located above.
  • To starboard is a bench upholstered in matching golden leather. At the forward end of the cabin, a large dresser provides two large lockers and six drawers with shelves aft. To the port side of the cabin, there is a lift top writing desk with a leather seat. A Large screen TV is mounted on the bulkhead. Direct TV available any where in the world.
  • The en-suite master head is located forward and to port of the master stateroom. A wide counter runs the length of the space. The sink is located at the aft end of the Corian counter-top. Under the forward end of the counter, a washer/dryer combo is smartly installed out of the way. A full size separate shower stall. The molded floor and smooth surfaces make the space easy to clean.

  • The Vacuflush fresh water head is just aft of the shower stall.
  • Moving forward up the passageway towards the main salon is a stateroom to starboard. Featuring two single over-under berths, reading lamps, storage. An opening hatch overhead and a cowl vent provide ventilation. These berths are followed by a day head.
  • Opposite the day head and stateroom room is the main breaker panel with controls for charger, generator and electrical system. A door opens into the large machinery room with access to the Panda genset, inverter, twin chargers and hydraulic pump.
  • Continuing through the passageway leads up three steps to a spacious pilothouse and main salon. Immediately forward to port is the nav station with a fixed pilot chair that is raised to allow excellent views from the large pilothouse windows. "Zaca" can be operated remotely from this location with the autopilot remote. A long counter runs fore and aft along the hull side aft of the nav station. There are three lockers with sliding doors above the counter.
  • A small refrigerator is mounted below the aft corner of the counter near a cabinet for bar-ware. Just aft of this cabinet is a counter that divides the main salon from the galley.
  • Down three short steps near the port side of the companionway are stairs to the galley. Blue fleck Corian countertops with mahogany fiddles surround the space on all sides.
  • A large double stainless steel sink and Whale manual fresh water pump. A Whirlpool microwave is inset into the cabinets. Above the counter at the forward end of the galley are four separate lockers with adjustable pegs for customizing dish storage.
  • Under the port side galley counter are three separate top opening refrigerator units, each with separate temperature controls. Two large freezer compartments are also located aft of the stove. At the aft end of the port side counter is the four-burner propane stove and oven.
