Hatteras Tour Gives Brokers Sneak Peek at New Models

Denison brokers Kevin Frawley, Mike Fine, Conrad Vanderlely, Dean Stuhlmann, Bruce Schattenburg and Chris Ollis got a behind-the-scenes look at several new Hatteras models this week when they toured the Hatteras factory in New Bern, N.C. 

During the tour, the brokers had the opportunity to meet and talk to some of the  Hatteras workers. “You can see that they take great pride in their work. They’re very proud of their products, and they should be,” said Chris. 

The tour included a preview of the new Hatteras 90MY, which will be finished in July and on display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November. 

They also went on a sea trial of the 45EX and saw the new Hatteras GT70 Hatterascal, which is almost finished, and the 45 flying bridge. 

“You can’t just look at a picture,” said Kevin. “Seeing the boats being built in person really helps you understand and appreciate the level of craftsmanship that goes into constructing every boat.”

“There’s no way you could really know the boats and how well they’re constructed until you can physically see each stage,” said Chris. “I’ve been to many yards before but never been to a yard that’s more meticulous than Hatteras.”
