John Warren

Florida yacht broker John Warren was born and raised in Indiana. He attended IUPUI, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. Having grown up on his father’s boat, fishing and enjoying the lakes of the Midwest, he developed a strong connection with water at a very young age.

In his 20s, John pursued a career in law enforcement. After years of living in the cold, he decided it was time for a change and requested a transfer to South Florida. After adjusting to life there, John found himself regularly sportfishing as a customer locally.

17+ years later, John had created a sound name for himself in the yachting industry, having taken a leap of faith and leaving his law enforcement career behind to be on the water full time. He has his USCG 100-ton Captain's license and has worked in both the full-time sportfish charter industry and also for private yacht and sportfish owners. His most recent captain experience comes from running a full-time private 63’ Hatteras GT, shadowing a 123’ yacht.

John not only has knowledge and experience in South Florida, but all through the islands and the Caribbean as well. His wife Stephanie, who was born and raised in the Bahamas, encouraged their exploration of many out islands, developing a large network of contacts throughout the Bahamas up to Bermuda.

Through his expansive career as a captain, running a variety of different sportfish, center consoles, and yachts, he has demonstrated mastery in the areas of yacht mechanics, engineering, electrical and routine vessel maintenance. He has been front and center in multiple purchases and sales of vessels and has guided the owners he worked for through sea trials and surveys during the sales process.
