John Zagorski

John grew up in Massachusetts and spent summers on upper Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island.  His mother taught him to sail and ignited his love of boating.  During the summer months, you would often find him and his family cruising the waters off Cape Cod and the islands along the New England coast.  As Commodore of the local yacht club, his father was an avid sailor and introduced him to sailboat racing aboard their O’Day 30.  Over time, he eventually joined the one design circuit where he raced on J/24’s and J30’s with close friends.

In time, he found himself living in Southern California where he spent many years away from the water while traveling for work.  Eventually, he found that airports and hotels had lost their luster and was searching for change.  He found that when he walked into a yacht dealership in 2006 and has never looked back.

Since joining the industry, John has worked as a licensed yacht broker representing clients through out the country.   After learning the ropes at smaller brokerage houses, he joined Denison Yachting in 2012.  In addition to his duties as a broker, he also managed the closing for Denison’s West Coast Operations.  Most recently, he took a 2 year sabbatical from Denison to work for Newcoast Financial.  This afforded him the opportunity to learn the nuances yacht finance.  John is now happy to be home at Denison where brings his experience full circle to support the Denison family as F&I manager for the West Coast.
