Paolo Ameglio

Born in the Republic of Panama to an American mother and a Panamanian-Italian father, Paolo grew up with a deep love for the ocean. He spent much of his youth fishing in the isthmus of Panama and on the Panama Canal, which were formative years in developing his passion for boats.

During the civil unrest in Panama from 1989 to 1991, Paolo moved to Portsmouth, Rhode Island, to attend Portsmouth Abbey School. The area, rich in boating history, was an ideal setting for his high school years. As a three-sport varsity athlete in football, basketball, and track and field, Paolo developed a strong work ethic that carried him through college and into the professional world.

After graduating from university, Paolo joined the corporate world but soon found his way back to the ocean by starting a small yacht management company. After selling this company, he transitioned into marina management with a focus on refit and restomod design, customizing sportfishing vessels of all makes.

With over 25 years of experience working on and repairing vessels of all styles, Paolo is a formidable representative for yacht buyers and sellers, dedicated to helping them achieve the greatest value possible in their transactions.
