The 2013 Norwalk Boat Show will welcome visitors and local residents to southwestern Connecticut with hundreds of boats, interactive features and family attractions September 19-22 at Norwalk Cove Marina.
The annual show is a one-stop shopping destination where visitors can board and compare hundreds of new boats, ranging from 13′ runabouts to yachts of more than 80′. There also will be sportfishing and performance powerboats and sailboats, and marine and boating accessories.
Captain Johnathan Hillstrand, from the Discovery Channel series “Deadliest Catch,” will be available to meet and greet fans. Visitors can also see the Miss Geico raceboat.
For people looking to get into boating, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) will offer budget-crunching experts at its Welcome to the Water Center. Boaters of all experience levels can take advantage of on-the-water workshops at Discover Boating’s Hands-On-Skill Training series.
Attendees also can participate in daily on-land seminars, including do-it-yourself sessions at Fred’s Shed, and take free powerboat and sailboat rides on Long Island Sound.
