The Milan-based fashion label, long celebrated for its understated refinement and couture-level craftsmanship, has recently turned its attention to designs that feel at home both on the deck of a superyacht and in the sun-drenched corners of the Mediterranean. In its latest collection, GIADA redefines resort wear for the woman who seeks comfort and couture.
According to Beiren Zhu, GIADA’s International Marketing Manager, this evolution is a natural expression of the brand’s ethos. “Quiet luxury is expressed through a refined visual language of flowing silhouettes, sophisticated textures, and meticulous construction,” he says. “Each piece feels light yet expressive, drawing inspiration from the serene strength of the ocean.”
That inspiration manifests in thoughtful design details: soft gradients and fluid pleats mimic the rhythm of waves, while a palette of ivory, navy, and pale blue reflects the subtleties of sea and sky. Rather than overtly nautical motifs, GIADA leans into abstraction, echoing the experience of yachting rather than illustrating it. A navy double-breasted blazer and technical windbreaker nod to the authority of a captain’s wardrobe, while a striped open-knit cardigan reinterprets maritime tradition with relaxed sensuality. Figure-skimming ribbed knits in classic maritime hues further enhance the dynamic yet composed aesthetic.
“The tiered design moves like water—it’s lightweight yet sculptural and pairs effortlessly with swimwear or a fine-knit bodysuit.” He also recommends the oversized striped cardigan. “It’s tactile and relaxed, perfect for breezy mornings on deck or sunset aperitivos. It brings a chic sense of ease to any moment.”
While GIADA is rooted in Milan, the brand’s creative imagination often drifts toward the coast, specifically, Sardinia. The island’s rugged natural beauty and subtle elegance are central to the label’s visual and emotional DNA. “Sardinia is the home of Marino D’Antonio, the founding chef of GIADA Garden, our Michelin-starred restaurant,” Zhu notes. “It’s coastline, warm light, and restrained beauty inspire the purity and texture found in many of our designs—even those intended for city life.”
