Nathan Dotson

A Southern California native, Nathan has grown up around boats and yachts and lived near the Pacific Ocean all his life. He put himself through college by working on various fishing boats in the summer months, mostly in Mexican waters off Baja California.

Nathan spent enough time on the water to acquire his 100-ton Captain’s license. After college Nathan put his accounting major to good use, passing the CPA exam, and working for the next 30 years developing his own business.

Married for 41 years and raising two great kids, fishing, boats and the ocean has always been a big part of his life. After selling his business, he knew that the next phase of his life had to include something to do with boats and yachts

Nathan went on a year long walk-about, spending time in the Caribbean, on large megayachts, and even stepping back into the fishing industry for a short while. He finally ended up working as a sales and project manager for Gambol Industries Shipyard in Long Beach, California, spending the next 3 years advancing his skills in the boat repair business.

This allowed him to make many new contacts in the local yachting industry, and led him to join Denison Yacht Sales Newport Beach California, where he looks forward to being a valuable resource to both buyers and sellers.
