Denison Wins Big at Long Beach Race Week

More than 130 boats participated in Long Beach Race Week last weekend, in addition to Denison, which sponsored the event. 

Marina del Rey brokers Will Petersen and Bill Petersen represented Denison at the event hosted by the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club and Long Beach Yacht Club.

Will and Bill sailed the 70′ Santa Cruz Grand Illusion, coming in second out of 11 boats in their fleet.

“It’s a hobby of mine and my dad’s. We race almost every weekend,” Will Petersen said. “It’s also a great opportunity to connect with the racing community, different people and the yacht clubs that are involved.”

California yacht broker Dave Millet from Denison’s Newport Beach office also competed, coming in third place in his class on a CNC 30.
