Mulder Yachts Launches 55′ Custom Yacht In Holland

Mulder Shipyard Dutch YachtsHolland-based yacht builder Mulder Shipyard is set to launch a 17 meter yacht, Mooie Nel. Motoryacht Mooie Nel is the first Mulder Yachts 55 Explorer Yacht, built for a custom yacht client from the Netherlands. She is in-house designed and presents an elegant appearance, despite her robust character.

Although most Mulder yachts head for the Mediterranean region, she will mainly be cruising in Northern Europe and be berthed close to the Mulder shipyard in Voorschoten, Holland.

Mulder Shipyard created Mooie Nel under its ‘Built by Mulder’ label, which offers yacht clients the opportunity to utilize the expertise and craftsmanship of Mulder while realizing their own design for their specific dream yacht.

She features a round-bilged hull to ensure excellent performance in all weather conditions. Her engine system consists of twin John Deere engines – 200hp each – giving a the yacht a maximum speed of 11 knots and a cruising speed of 9 knots.

Her white superstructure and grey hull have been combined with various high-gloss varnished teak details and high-gloss polished stainless steel. Her interior consists of cherry wood with unvarnished teak floors. A unique feature is the floor heating throughout the yacht to ensure a constant temperature throughout. Mooie Nel boasts 3 suites: 2 guest cabins amidships and an owner’s Master Stateroom forward. Her Main Salon has a spacious L-shaped sofa and the galley is fully equipped with high-end kitchen appliances.

The wheelhouse contains a comfortable L-shaped sofa with great views over the water. A press of the button slides down the automatic screens to blind the wheelhouse windows. Additionally, the wheelhouse has a large electric sliding roof for maximum ventilation and an outdoor feel. The four teak swing doors provide access to the aft deck, which is fitted with a U-shaped sofa with comfortable cushions. Further, the yacht maintains a constant temperature owing to the installation of a heated floor across its entire area.

The vessel dons a round-bilged hull in grey tone, contrasted by a white-hued superstructure. The look is complemented by high-gloss varnished teak detailing work as well as high-gloss polished stainless steel. The shape of the hull helps it withstand weather adversities.
