Hi, I’m Sarah Strauch. I’m a yacht broker with Denison Yacht Sales in the Newport, Rhode Island office. Newport is an internationally recognized boating destination.

If you look behind me in the harbor, you’ll see both classic and modern sailboats as well as sport cruisers and motoryachts. You’re very close to other boating destinations such as Block Island, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket. When you’re walking down the cobblestone streets, you can’t help but recognize the architecture that represents 1600s all the way to present day.

If you’d like to learn more about Newport while being on the water, you can do so by taking a day cruise. One of my personal favorites is Rum Runner, which is a 1929 motoryacht that used to smuggle rum during the Prohibition.

There are also many beautiful schooners that sail around Newport Harbor during the day.
