Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives
José R. Oliva is member of the Florida House of Representatives. Oliva represents the 110th District, of which, Miami Lakes and Hialeah in Miami Dade County are included. José has held his position since 2011 and is a member of the Republican party.
Oliva was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and moved to the state of Florida in 1974. From 2001 to 2005, he served as a Hialeah Housing Commissioner.
He was elected to the Florida House of Representatives on June 28, 2011, reelected subsequently.
He currently resides in Miami Lakes, Florida.
