Hey, it’s Bob Denison and today we’re going to be talking about what we did in February, a little bit about what we’re going to do in the month of March, and also who we are as a company. This month will be cool: we’ll be talking about interns. Stay tuned for that.

In the month of February, we did a few things. Most of you guys, if you follow us on social media, know that the Miami show just happened. It was a big deal for us; the best Miami show we’ve ever had. One of the challenges of this year’s Miami show: you’re going to hear people like me complaining about lack of inventory and supply-side issues, it was a big deal. It could have been a really challenging show, but it was awesome. We sold 22 boats, a mix of new and used, and had a really really good party on Friday night. The show did something called “Yachts After Dark” and it was a blast.

On the listing front, we picked up some new listings. I’m going to go over a few of them right now. One of them will be highlighted next month in Palm Beach. The 154′ Heeson 2012, called ODYSSEA, listed with Thom Conboy and Chris Collins. Also, the 150′ Richmond 2013 centrally listed with Chris Daves–lives up in Palm Beach–that just went live.

We also just listed DOROTHEA III, which is a 147-foot Cheoy Lee. Thom Conboy, Chris Collins. And when I say she is an explorer/expedition type, she really truly has crossed the globe, seen every ocean, kind of like been every place that you would want to go. Really cool program, really cool captain, really cool boat.

We also listed a 115′ Benetti, that’s David Johnson, that boat is called FORTIS. And also on the smaller front, but a really really really cool boat is a 2022 70′ Pershing listed with Gary Hardcastle, that boat is called SHINE.

On the “What We Sold” front, in the month of February, we sold three boats…actually we sold a lot more than three boats, I’m going to highlight three of them. One was a 125′ Broward called CHIMERA. What was special about this boat, it was one of the only Browards ever built of class, so it was an ABS-built boat and a really really cool boat that we were proud of is a family. Kurt Bosshardt sold that Broward, so congratulations to Kurt. We also closed on 111-foot Sunseeker–David Johnson–that boat was called LUNA ROSSA. And also Alex Clark sold a very very cool catamaran called CARTOUCHE; it was a 95-foot glucose catamaran.

LUNA ROSSA

In the “What We’re Going to Be Doing” front, the month of March has a lot of really cool things happening, but the main thing that you’re going to be hearing us talk about is the Palm Beach Boat Show; it’s usually everybody’s favorite show. It’s very civilized, lots of great places to eat, lots of great places to stay, the parking is easy and all that stuff. But more importantly, it’s a really really good show with a ton of boats, really cool events, and we hope to see you guys up there. The dates of that are…I don’t know it off the top of my head, so just put the dates right here…March, I’m going to take a guess, 24th to the 27th.

The other thing that we’re doing–and you’re going to hear more about this soon–is American Heart Association Heart Walk. That’s right around the corner; stay tuned for that, that’s one of those things we love getting behind. Heart issues are a big deal to our family and we’re going to do that thing we do where we ask for money and ask for your support, so please join us not only in the heart walk but also in raising money for a really great organization in the coming weeks. So stay tuned for that. I’m going to probably drop a link here and it’ll explain in more detail what all that is.

Now I get to talk about who we are and we’re gonna talk about the interns, like I just told you in the beginning. I had two internships. I’m going to tell you where both of them were. One was with Alamo; the other one was with the Florida Marlins (now the Miami Marlins). One of them was the best internship of all time; the other was not. I can’t…actually I’ll just tell you, my internship at Alamo wasn’t great. The internship with the Marlins was absolutely awesome, and so when we have interns come on board here, it’s really important to me personally and to the people that they work with that their internship experience is a really good one. So today, actually today, the day that we’re filming, we’re saying goodbye to Brandon, who is heading back up to Mass Maritime.

“How’s it going? My name is Brandon Cole, I’m from Lake Winnipesaukee up in New Hampshire. One thing I love about being an intern for Denison Ya…”

Yeah, whatever Brandon. Two other interns that are here, Connor and Riley, are staying put for a while. They go to the University of Miami. But our internship program is awesome. If you know of anybody in college that’s looking for really good real-world experience working with awesome people, we’re the place for that. And we want to thank our interns. They seriously do a lot of cool stuff. It’s not one of those boring internships; they get their hands in the weeds and they do a lot of cool things and we’re grateful for them. So goodbye, Brandon. Riley and Connor, thank you for staying, you guys are awesome.

Thank you guys so much, that was February. March is right around the corner. We’re excited about all it will bring and we hope to see you on the docks up in Palm Beach. Bye.
