Firat Gurelli

Born in a coastal city in Turkey, Fırat developed a passion for sailing and diving from an early age. After studying Philosophy and Literary Theory, he entered the maritime industry working as a charter captain and yacht surveyor throughout the Mediterranean.

After building a successful business around these operations, he made the decision to sell his business and pursue new challenges at sea.

Fırat then spent the following several years as a professional captain aboard yachts and superyachts, cruising the Pacific, Caribbean, Bahamas, and Mediterranean waters. He built and managed successful charter programs and delivered several expeditions in the Caribbean and remote places of the Atlantic Ocean. This experience gave him deep insight into yacht operations and the real needs of yacht owners.

In 2024, Fırat moved ashore to work as a manager at Bering Yachts, where he gained valuable experience in new build construction and shipyard operations. This role expanded his knowledge of yacht manufacturing and project management.

Fırat joined Denison in October 2025, bringing together his diverse background in surveying, yacht operations, and new build management. His hands-on experience from multiple aspects of the industry allows him to provide clients with practical, informed advice whether they are buying or selling.

With his international experience and comprehensive understanding of yachts from both technical and operational perspectives, Fırat is dedicated to helping clients navigate the yacht market with confidence and realize their dreams.
