Jimmy Rogers

Jimmy Rogers was born and raised in Florida and has been boating since before he could walk. Surrounded by avid boaters, he developed a lifelong love for the water, boats, and the boating lifestyle.

After earning his Marketing degree from the University of Florida in 2008, Jimmy launched his career in the boating industry with an internship at MarineMax Inc., the largest boat dealership chain in the world. His work quickly drew the attention of executives, and he was offered a position at MarineMax Naples, one of the top-performing sales locations nationwide. There, he learned the importance of building strong client relationships and delivering first-class service. It was also during this time that he met his wife, Katie.

In 2009, Jimmy’s career took a pivotal turn when his uncle, Tom George, invited him to help start a boutique yacht brokerage firm. Amid the Great Recession, while others focused on inventory and stock value, they built the Tom George Yacht Group with a client-first philosophy. What began as a small two-person office soon grew into a thriving, respected firm.

To elevate his expertise, Jimmy earned the Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) designation in 2011—an elite credential held by only 10% of brokers worldwide. In 2014, he and Tom became dealers for Hatteras Yachts, quickly earning recognition as top performers. Jimmy collected multiple sales awards, including the Hatteras “President’s Club” honors in 2015 and 2016.

As demand grew, the Tom George Yacht Group expanded its offerings, adding Carver and Marquis Yachts to its lineup. In 2016, Jimmy began overseeing all new yacht sales for the company, and by 2017, TGYG was recognized as Carver Yachts’ Top Dealer.
