Largest 100 Megayachts – 2010 Additions

2010 ends on a high note with a new No.1 in the Boat International Top 100 (The Registry)

Dubai’s four-year reign as the largest superyacht in the world came to an end a few weeks ago with the delivery of the 162.5m (533′) Eclipse (Blohm & Voss Shipyard). Eclipse was one of 10 new entries in the Top 100 in 2010. The other new megayacht entries in the Top 100 were:

Katara Megayacht

Katara – 408′ (124.4m): Previously known under the project name Crystal, she was launched by Lürssen in April and delivered in August of 2010. Steel and aluminum construction. Exterior styling by megayacht designer Espen Oeino. Flies the Qatari flag and is considered a highly secret superyacht. She is currently ranked 10th in the Top 100 megayachts. Pictured to the left.

PalladiumLuna – 377′ (115m): This ice classed megayacht was launched by Lloyd Werft in 2009 and delivered in April 2010. She ranks 2nd on the list of expedition yachts and 17th in the Top 100.

Palladium – 315′ (96m): Launched under the project name Orca in March by Blohm & Voss Shipyard, she was delivered in September and is currently 29th in the Top 100. Pictured to the left.

Phoenix MegayachtPhoenix 2 – 286′ (87.2m): Launched by Lürssen in April and delivered in July 2010. She ranks 40th in the Top 100 Superyachts. Pictured to the left.

Cakewalk – 280′ (85.6m): Launched by Derecktor in August and delivered in October. She is No.1 in the list of the largest megayachts built in the United States and 43rd in the Top 100.

Sunrays SuperyachtSeven Seas – 280′ (85.47m): Launched by Oceanco in August and delivered in November, she is 44th in the Top 100 Megayachts.

Sunrays – 280′ (85.47m): Launched by Oceanco in November 2009 and delivered in May 2010, she is also 44th in the Top 100. Pictured to the left.

Pacific – 279′ (85.2m): One of the most distinctive yachts to hit the water in 2010 she was delivered by Lürssen in November. She is currently 49th in the Top 100.

Titan – 257′ (78.43m): Launched in May by Abeking & Rasmussen and delivered in October, she is 67th in the Top 100. Pictured to the left.
