Visiting From Europe? | SAVED YACHTS |

Wanted to thank Kim for a wonderful experience handling the sale of my vessel. With Kim's experience in sales and Denison's aggressive advertising, my vessel sold in less than one month. Thanks Kim

Geoff Uda. on Kim Dumas

In mid 2020, my wife and I began searching for a boat. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, we traveled to look at boats all over the Bay Area, the Delta, Stockton and even Sacramento. Not finding anything to our liking, we continued our search online. It was through our online search that we connected with Kim Dumas and Denison Yacht Sales in San Diego. Kim was a dream come true! She understood exactly what my wife and I wanted in a boat and she made it her mission to find us the perfect vessel. She was never “on the sell” and always put our interests first. She located the perfect boat for us — a 2006 Sea Ray 340 Sundancer! Being 600 miles away, we depended upon Kim to be our advocate and arrange for a sea trial, vessel and mechanical surveys, and haul out. She handled all negotiations with the seller and made sure that all i’s were dotted and t’s crossed. Kim even helped arrange for suggested maintenance and repairs and went so far as to go shopping with us to help us accessorize our new boat. Kim was extremely professional, always available and eager to satisfy whatever concern we may have had at the time. It will soon be one year since we added “Carol’s Cruiser” to our family and we couldn’t be happier. We have had a blast during one of the most challenging times in the history of our country with COVID. We took her out to the Golden Gate and made memories that will be with us for the rest of our lives. We can’t wait to have fun and make more memories this boating season. If you’re in the market for a boat, Kim Dumas can get it done for you. Thank you Kim!

“I listed my boat for sale with Kim Dumas at Denison Yachting in San Diego during Covid. The boat sold at fair market price and I received my money in 33 days.  Kim is  honest, seasoned and provided high quality referrals necessary to prepare the boat for sale.  She was a dual broker (listing & buyer’s agent) and represented both parties well.  I would use Kim again and do not hesitate to recommend her.”

I was very pleased with the way Kim Dumas handled both me and the yacht sale. She went above and beyond to make the sale happen. She always returned my calls promptly and answered questions during the sale.  I appreciated all the knowledge she provided to help make the purchase happen. I would never consider buying or selling a yacht without Kim as my yacht broker.

Gary Merin on Kim Dumas

I had the pleasure of running into Kim Dumas at the San Diego boat show a couple of months ago and wanted to let you know how everything went.

I am coming up on retirement and my daughter put the idea into my head of buying a boat and taking her around New Zealand. I thought that it was a great idea. But, since I had never sailed before I thought that I had better do some homework. I retire in 1-6 years so I gave myself 3-6 years to learn about cats and I thought that learning to sail during that time wouldn’t be a bad idea.

The first boat show that I found was in San Diego. So I hopped on a plane and off I went. I walked on every catamaran that was at the show at least twice and spoke to every broker that was there. But as soon as I told them what my plans were they stopped talking to me. All except one. Kim listened and took notes and gave me space to look around.

I learned a lot that day and I was very happy that I went.

A few weeks later I got an email from Kim, she asked me if I had any questions about any of the boats that I saw or about any other boats. She remembered my daughter and my 3-6 year plan. I told her that I was looking at two boats because I want a boat that I can sail solo. The Silent 55 and the Xqusite X5.

A couple of weeks later she sent me an invite to the Reggae Regatta to Catalina. I jumped at the chance to spend 5 days on a cat.

I had a wonderful time. Kim and Kurt put on a wonderful event. Captain Richard was fabulous; he spent time teaching all of us as much as we wanted to learn.

Kim was wonderful the whole time, coming up with ideas on other boats and on options on how to use them. I never felt any pressure to buy; she was just trying to help me find the right boat, and always taking notes. I will not be surprised if she comes up with something that I never thought of and it turns out to be the perfect boat. Kim has been staying in touch with me and sending me boats that I may be interested in. I liked three.

As for me, I signed up for sailing lessons in Mexico before I knew that West Coast Multihull even existed, but I plan to bring my daughter down so that Captain Richard can teach her in ASA 101 before she goes to Australia in January.

If it weren’t for Kim Dumas my association with Denison Yacht [Sales] and West Coast Multihull would have ended that day in San Diego.

My thanks to Kim.

We had an overall excellent experience on our recent purchase through Denison. We had a very excellent sales rep by the name of Kim Dumas and she was with us 100% of the way, from the documentation process, through the escrow snafu's, even helping to find and secure the slip. She would always return our communication and be eager to find a resolution to whatever was coming up. It is hard to find businesses with old-fashioned values such as valuing the customer and keeping them informed. We love our new boat and our experience with Denison. I would strongly recommend this broker to anyone looking to buy or sell solely based on the treatment we received.
