Dean Stuhlmann

I met Dean Stuhlmann in 2009 on a professional basis, having since rigged & brokered boats for our yard in Switzerland.  As we are working with the authorities, we needed a capable and competent partner.  If you want professional, sharp, precise collaboration, then work with Dean.  Said, done…simple. Start to finish, not leaving a stone unturned.

I met Dean through a mutual friend that was also into boating. I was immediately impressed with Dean's overall knowledge about boats and in particular his extensive knowledge about the fairly rare boat brand that I owned at the time.

Dean knew as much if not more than I did about my own boat, so when the time came to sell it Dean was my first choice for a listing broker. Dean immediately reached out to his client base and spoke with an overseas client of his who expressed interest in my boat. Shortly thereafter this client had flown over to Florida from Europe so that Dean could show him my boat. Before I knew it, Dean had negotiated a deal that was beneficial to me as the seller and also to his client as the buyer.

I was impressed with how smoothly the deal came together and went through to completion. Dean has since told me how happy the new owner is and that my old boat is doing well and enjoying her new life in Europe! I encourage anyone considering selling their boat, or buying a boat to speak with Dean Stuhlmann.

He has been in the marine industry longer than many and has the knowledge and experience that is necessary to put deals together.

Back in 2006 I began the process of building a semi custom sport fishing boat and was introduced to Dean Stuhlmann who patiently and professionally navigated me through the build process.  Given the fact this was before email was really popular and iPhones did not exist it was old school faxing and yes many telephone conversations.  We literally discussed every switch, pump, and rod holder on top of the important options such as preferred engines.

I can confidently say not a call went unreturned, the boat was delivered on schedule and performed flawlessly until the day I sold it in 2014. 

Dean once again in 2015 assisted me in a purchase of my new boat despite the fact he was not the broker and received no compensation for his many efforts. This guy is a professional and extremely knowledgeable boat person. I am certain my next boat purchase will be through the guiding eyes of Mr. Dean Stuhlmann.

Dean Stuhlmann sold my late dad a brand new  Ocean Master 31 in 1994 and Dean immediately became a family friend. My dad said many times how impressed he was with Dean’s expertise and drive to please the customer…dad liked hard workers. And that was 20 some years ago!

Dean has acted as a consultant to us on more boat projects than I can count, including refitting the Ocean Master several times, improving  collectible Boston Whalers and even restoring flats fishing boats. When I have a boat question, big or small,  I call Dean. Power, electronics, fit and finish questions—doesn’t matter. Dean has always been friendly, responsive and accountable. He truly understands how owners use their boats, especially in South Florida and the islands, because he uses boats in these places.
