In 1970, Nicolini began working with luxury yacht builder Carlo Riva. This partnership lasted eight years and resulted in eight yachts being produced by CRN and Riva Yachts. Throughout the rest of the 20th century, CRN built custom superyachts for experienced owners. In 1999, CRN was acquired by the Ferretti Group, joining the yacht brands Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Mochi Yachts, Itama, Pershing and Customline. The first superyacht to launch from CRN shipyard after the Ferretti Group acquisition was a 43m Motor Yacht Magnifica.
