Fountaine Pajot seemingly have the market to themselves – when looking for rivals for this boat it proved near impossible to find a mainstream catamaran alternative. The owner’s cabin takes up the entire starboard hull and guests are catered for across two cabins in the port hull. They’re not especially luxurious but headroom is great and there’s a lot of storage across all three sleeping areas.
In terms of space there is a strange dichotomy – the aft cockpit is big enough to host a tennis tournament but you won’t be swinging your racket in the saloon. It’s not bad, it just doesn’t feel spacious enough when you consider the boat is 17ft 9in (5.40m) wide.
