Ocean King is an Italian shipyard that specializes in steel and aluminum explorer yachts designed for long range cruising and tough sea conditions. Based in Chioggia near Venice, the yard combines more than 35 years of commercial shipbuilding and steel processing experience with superyacht level design and finish. Ocean King builds robust displacement explorer yachts that merge the strength and systems of a commercial vessel with the comfort and style of a private yacht. Their portfolio includes the Ducale, Doge, Explorer and Custom Built ranges, from about 26 to more than 50 meters.

All Ocean King yachts are built in Chioggia on the northern Adriatic coast of Italy, close to Venice. The shipyard grew out of a commercial background and still uses heavy duty steel hull construction, deep structural framing, and engineering standards similar to offshore workboats and tugs. The yard describes its “Explorer DNA” as yachts that cruise at comfortable displacement speeds with the strength and autonomy for transoceanic passages, high safety margins, and low fuel consumption. That approach is shared across the range, from the smaller Explorer models to large Doge and Ducale superyachts.

Ocean King yachts are conceived first as true explorers, not as planing motor yachts adapted for range. They use full displacement steel hulls, high volume engine rooms, and commercial grade systems, which are engineered for long distance cruising, redundancy, and easy maintenance. Many models advertise ranges of several thousand nautical miles at economical speeds. On top of that backbone, the yard works with Italian designers to create bright, comfortable interiors and large outdoor living areas, so owners get the feel of a luxury superyacht with the capability of an expedition vessel. Features like beach club sterns, pools, and large tenders are common across the Ducale and Doge ranges.
