Clayton, NY, US

Previously Asking $175,000

Description

This is an exact replica of a 1929 Ditchburn Launch, built from the original hull stations and patterns that the factory used at that time. It was custom built for the first and only owner of this boat who desired a stable launch with modern power and a mother-in-law seat forward which would accommodate more people for entertaining. Built over a 2 year period, the boat has been well maintained and kept up to a very high standard. It has always been stored indoor and used always in the cold freshwater lakes of the Adirondacks. This boat was reduced in price in April of 2019 and reflects the new asking price.

History Of The Vessel

A contemporary reproduction of one of Herb Ditchburn's successful designs, Mary Agnes was commissioned in 2004 and completed in 2006 for her current owners. Masterfully constructed with traditional style and materials, but with modern methods and techniques, she has the essence of a historic vessel and will last a lifetime.

Solely fresh water use and maintained to a very high degree. She is powered with a classic Chrysler 6 cylinder engine which is reliable and moves the boat along nicely. The boat can accommodate 7 passengers comfortably between her main cockpit and forward cockpit area. A wonderful cocktail boat and evening cruiser.
