Built in 1988 for an experience San Francisco sailor, Running Free is an exceptional
38-200, Hull # 263. She was built with many factory upgrades, including her Flag

New teak and holly cabin sole installed in 2012. The interior is varnished teak.
V-berth forward is offset to port with a seat to starboard and hanging lockers on either side.
Next aft, the saloon is equipped with a U-shaped settee to port and a straight settee to starboard. They are joined nicely by a drop leaf table that will seat six comfortably for dinner or will drop down to make a double berth on port. There is storage outboard above the settees in cabinets. The cabin sole is teak and holly and the headroom is 6'3"
Moving aft, on port is the L-shaped galley with a double stainless steel sink on the centerline, a four burner stove and oven, and a reefer/freezer. Counters are white formica. On starboard, the navigation station is aft facing and shares the seat with the settee. Continuing aft on starboard, there is a generous head with a separate stall shower that is light and airy. In fact, the whole boat is airy with airflow coming from three hatches and numerous opening ports. Headroom is 6'4"
Moving to port aft is a roomy double berth with ports above. Boat will sleep 6 comfortably. 2 single berths in saloon.
The L-shaped galley is aft on port and features a double stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water, Force Ten stainless steel three burner propane stove with oven and broiler, top loading refrigerator, excellent counter space and ample storage in bins, drawers and lockers. Also, a manual fresh and salt water galley pump.
The engine is a Universal 5444, 44HP diesel with 36% more horsepower than the standard 32HP engine.
