39 Foot motor yacht well laid out with two cabin, two head accommodations. Hard to find 39 foot with twin Volvo Diesel engines with low hours and generator. Nice layout in main cabin with lower helm, spacious galley, dining, and salon area. Flybridge and back sundeck complete this well price motor yacht.
39 foot boat with plenty of deck, cabin, and saloon space.
Upper flybridge has an upper helm station with captains chair. Behind is a wrap around couch with seating for 6. There is back dingy deck with electric crain.
Stairs lead to cover lower back cockpit deck with covered area and swim step. A sliding glass door enters the mail saloon with lower helm station.
The saloon has two levels, with the aft half at the same height as the cockpit. To port is an L-shaped sofa, while the starboard side has the galley arranged as a fore-and-aft counter, starting with a full-size refrigerator/freezer aft, a two-burner Princess electric cooktop and a sink. As you can see from the photos, the innovative part of the Californian 39 is not just the raised pilothouse area with a full-size dinette next to the helm but the passageway to port behind the dinette. The lower helm is comfortable, with a swivel bucket seat, Hydrautic steering and a blank panel for flush-mount electronics.
The oversize forward and side windows combine with the doors aft to provide almost 360 degrees of visibility, and you could easily dock the 39 from inside without having to run back and forth to see the aft corners.
Take the passageway behind the dinette, and you’ll descend a curved stairway into a small foyer. A door aft leads to the master stateroom, which is as large as those on larger aft cabin motoryachts. There’s full headroom (courtesy of the raised dinette above), a large berth, a big hanging locker and a private head with a stall shower, a ceramic sink and plenty of storage. There are twin built-in night stands, drawers under the bed and even an entertainment center facing the bed with a TV, a VCR and a stereo. I had to walk back and forth several times to see how neatly Marshall and the Californian crew had managed to get such a spacious cabin into a 39-footer. Forward, the guest stateroom has an island berth, a hanging locker and another private head with yet another stall shower. T
