The layout of the 1978 40’ Ocean is spacious and pleasing starting with the good size cockpit which leads to a spacious and impressive salon. Forward is a V-berth. Just aft on port is the head and vanity. Opposite on starboard is another sink/vanity and hanging locker. Continuing aft on port is a double berth stateroom with private access to the head. Opposite in the companionway is the galley.

Up to the salon with built-in L-shaped settee and drop-leaf table on starboard. A wet bar is forward of the settee.

The salon features carpeting, drapes, two upholstered chairs, built-in television and lamp and table combination. Headroom is 6'2".
