The Carver 420 Mariner is a modern cruising yacht whose spacious accommodations and versatile layout are unmatched by anything in her class. Built on a semi-V hull with a solid fiberglass bottom, the Mariner’s high-freeboard profile conceals a vast single-level interior perfectly suited for entertaining.
Entering through a sliding glass door in the cockpit, the full-beam salon features an Ultraleather sofa to starboard and two barrel chairs to port. Forward of the sofa is a large step-down galley with Corian counters, convection oven, and hardwood flooring. (Note the storage locker under the galley sole). A circular dinette opposite the galley seats four adults. Tiered windows provide panoramic views of the water, and high-gloss cherry trim accent the salon and galley areas.
Both staterooms share a single head compartment, and a filler converts the single berths in the guest stateroom to a double berth. Flanking stairways lead from the cockpit up to the Mariner’s spacious flybridge with three helm chairs, wet bar, and circular aft lounge.
Additional features include foredeck sun pads, cockpit lazarette, and extended swim platform. Volvo 375hp gas engines cruise at 16–18 knots (low 20s top).
